The new Red Flag rules, which was supposed to be effective June 1st, 2010, has been postponed again. The new enforcement deadline is now January 1st, 2011.
In the FTC announcement, which came in the closing hours of the last business day before the deadline, the regulator blamed Congressional pressure for the delay.
This is the fifth time in the past two years that the enforcement deadline has been postponed.
